How To Apply For Beauty School Scholarships
Are you enrolled in beauty school or thinking about enrolling? There are lots of great beauty school scholarships that are available to beauty school students and high school students. Receiving a beauty school scholarship can make all the difference in your decision to enroll and is a great way to jumpstart training for a new career!
Here is some important information about beauty school scholarships, including details about how to apply. All of these scholarships can be applied to the programs at Salon Success Academy, so check them out!
Which beauty school scholarships are you most interested in applying to?
Thirteen beauty school scholarships are being funded by Sally Beauty Supply and administered by the Professional Beauty Association. There are two different categories you can apply to:
- Seven $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to high school graduates that want to get into the cosmetology profession.
- Six $500 scholarships will be awarded to current PBA | NCA members already enrolled in a cosmetology program.
The applications deadline is November 15, 2012. Scholarships will be awarded at ISSE Long Beach 2013.
Five $1,000 scholarships, funded through Minerva Beauty, Inc., a manufacturer of salon equipment, will be awarded to students already enrolled in a cosmetology program.
The applications deadline is June 15, 2012. Scholarships will be awarded at ISSE Midwest 2012.
If you are a high school student, or already enrolled in a cosmetology or barbering program, you can qualify to apply for the Alice Madden Barton Scholarship Program.
You need to show your dedication to working in cosmetology. Scholarships are awarded twice a year in January and July. The deadlines for applications are June 30 and December 31.
The Joe Francis Haircare Scholarship is in honor of Joe Francis (1933-1994), the founder of The Barbers Corporation who was always looked for ways to help others find opportunities in the salon business.
For this beauty school scholarship, you must be actively applying to a cosmetology or barber school or be currently enrolled in a program. Esthetician or nail technician students are not eligible.
Applications are collected through January 1 and June 1 of every year. The winners are awarded chosen by a independent committee and awarded $1,000 each towards tuition
This $1,250 beauty school scholarship is sponsored by the National-Interstate Council of State Boards of Cosmetology. To apply, you must be training for a career in cosmetology, esthetics, or nail technology, or enroll in beauty school within 6 months of being awarded of the scholarship. You must send in three letters of recommendation and a personal essay with a minimum of 250 words.
The deadline for this scholarship is May 31, 2012.
